Welcome!

Hello! My name is Kelley, and I have been blessed to have the most special cat in my life. He is a rescue cat from Jamaica Plains, MA...and came into my life while I was a grad student at Harvard.

Really Monkey....Really...

I, George, am throwing out a question to you all...

ARE BEST FRIENDS SUPPOSED TO BE THIS ANNOYING?!

Don't get me wrong, having Monkey around has really helped my exercise plan and definitely made me a stronger man, but MY GOODNESS this cat never STOPS!

1. He keeps touching my back paws while I am relaxing. So when he walks around me, I hit him.
2. He keeps scratching on my scratchy box and post. So when he does, I hit him.
3. He keeps running around the apartment like a crazed maniac...and that dang bell on his collar is driving me batty! So to try to stop him, once I have just had it, I chase him down, and hit him.
4. He follows me every where!!  When mom goes potty in the morning, that is MY sacred time with her to trip her as she brushes her teeth. Well, he likes to come in now too...and I am NOT ok with that! So when he creeps the door open, I hit him.

....Now I am all worked up! I need to go lie down, and mom is taking a nappie, so I am gonna go cuddle with her.

Ok. A little better now.  Monkey tried to come in and jump in the bed with us. I hit him, and he walked out.  WILL HE EVER LEARN?!

Ugh, o well.  My Chelsea loves him, and mom seems to get along with him, so I figured, I will work on it too.  He is definitely not growing on me right now, and its more like he is getting under my skin, but hey, I am his big brother...and I guess that that is what little brothers are supposed to do...irritate the crap out of me.

OH, but I must say, Mom just LOVES seeing this side of me.  I get treats when I stand up for myself...and I was hoping to get double treats when I literally scared the poo out of Monkey...but alas, no treats.

Ok. I think I am gonna try to steal a bite of Monkey's food while he eats mine!
